I started my trek on the Annapurna circuit in Pokhara, where I stayed in an orphanage called "The Garden". This was the view of Fishtail Mountain I woke to on my first morning there.

After a roughly 3km walk on a beautiful black sand landscape through a hailstorm, the famous DC3 wreck in Sólheimasandur emerges behind a black sand dune. It ran out of fuel and crash-landed on this beach in the early 70's.
